Castellano is one of racing\u2019s most successful jockeys. He\u2019s ridden more than 28,600 horses and won 5,244 races. That places him 26th in all-time wins and 11th among active riders. He\u2019s won a total of more than $334 million in purses for his owners and trainers throughout his career.<\/p>\n
In 169 starts this year, he\u2019s won 24 times and placed in the money 50.3 percent of the time. His purse earnings for 2020 is $1.9 million.<\/p>\n
A four-time Eclipse Award winner as the nation\u2019s top jockey, Castellano was enshrined in the Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 2017.<\/p>\n
