\nPresident Donald Trump met with leaders of professional sports recently, and told reporters following that, “I want fans back in the arenas. Whenever we are ready. As soon as we can, obviously.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
But even when sports receives the clearance from federal and state officials to resume operations, the Seton Hall poll hints that fans might not flock back to the stadiums because of their own safety concerns. A substantial portion of poll respondents also believe sports might be canceled through the end of 2020.<\/p>\n
“It has been suggested that sports be canceled through the end of 2020. How likely do you think this is a possibility?” Forty-six percent said “Possible,” 16 percent “Likely,” and 12 percent “Very likely.”<\/p>\n
NFL Odds<\/b><\/h2>\n
No sport is more valuable to US oddsmakers than football. Trump has stated that he believes the NFL season will kickoff in September as scheduled.<\/p>\n
But the Seton Hall poll finds Americans feel otherwise. Asked if some form of social distancing is continuing in the fall, do you think the NFL should:<\/p>\n
