(Image: TripAdvisor)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Michael Livermore, 37, of Oroville, Calif., is charged with manslaughter in the death of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/californias-feather-falls-casino-deadly-struggle-leads-to-arrest\/\">Dennis Wold<\/a>, 55, of Chico, Calif. It was also revealed in testimony that Wold had an enlarged heart and suffered from drug abuse.<\/p>\n<p>His death was caused by a cardiac arrest. Wold had stopped breathing, and responding EMTs could not revive him while he was on the floor.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"main-blockquote\"><p><strong>Testimony was presented \u2026 that Livermore said there was a love triangle between the two men and a woman,\u201d <\/strong>Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey was quoted by <em>KHSL<\/em>, a local TV station.<strong> \u201cThe evidence revealed the fight was a result of a contentious history between the two men.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Following this week\u2019s preliminary hearing, a jury trial will take place in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/santa-ana-illegal-gambling-joints-raided-multiple-arrests-in-california\/\">California<\/a>, <em>KHSL<\/em>\u00a0reported. Livermore will next appear in court on June 16.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, Livermore was charged with murder, according to a statement from the Butte County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<h2>Suspect Fled After Fight<\/h2>\n<p>When deputies arrived, they had to search for Livermore. He ran away from the gaming venue following the fight, deputies said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<figure id=\"attachment_215904\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-215904\" data-style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-215904\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Livermore-Screen-Shot-2022-03-29-at-2.23.56-PM-109x142.png\" alt=\"Michael Livermore in a mug shot\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1556\" \/><figcaption  id=\"caption-attachment-215904\"class=\"text-description\">Michael Livermore in a mug shot, pictured above. (Image: Butte County Sheriff\u2019s Office)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A short time later, they located Livermore and deputies apprehended him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The casino is owned by the Mooretown Rancheria of Maidu Indians. The tribal gaming property is located some 68 miles north of Sacramento, Calif.<\/p>\n<p>In a prior crime at the Gold Country Casino Resort, also located in Oroville, the Butte County Sheriff\u2019s Office made an arrest in 2020. It was from a robbery of an elderly woman, allegedly perpetrated by a mother and son duo.<\/p>\n<p>The mother was the getaway driver after the son violently stole the money, authorities claim. The mother was identified as Regina Brito, 49, and the son as Daniel Braziel, 30, of Marysville, Calif.<\/p>\n<p>The victim had won more than $4,500 at the gaming property. She put the money in her wallet and sat down by a slot machine, <em>KOVR<\/em>, a local TV station, reported.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p>Soon, Braziel went up to the woman. He allegedly pushed her to the floor and forcibly stole the money and other unspecified property from her.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Charges for Robbery<\/h2>\n<p>Both mother and son were arrested on robbery and elder abuse charges.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Jeremy Bowman, 32, of Yuba City, Calif. was arrested for his role in allegedly charging about $1,000 on the victim\u2019s credit cards.
