(Image: Uninterrupted\/YouTube)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">A snippet of Friday\u2019s show was teased on the Twitter feed of Uninterrupted, \u201can athlete empowerment brand\u201d created by James and Maverick Carter, James\u2019 longtime friend and business partner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\"><strong>Yeah, I would much rather own a team before I talk,\u201d <\/strong>James said in the preview clip.<strong> \u201cI want a team in Vegas.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">The full episode of the roundtable discussion talk show in a barber shop setting will be released on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xoOXiId1HY0\">YouTube<\/a> Friday at noon ET.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Speaking It Into Existence! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ARRiTp43cx\">https:\/\/t.co\/ARRiTp43cx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; LeBron James (@KingJames) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KingJames\/status\/1534940135967510533?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 9, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">James has led four teams to NBA titles and won four most valuable player awards. The 18-time all-star is the second all-time leading scorer in the league. He just finished his 19th season in the NBA, one in which his Los Angeles Lakers failed to make the playoffs.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"NewNormal\">Pro Sports Teams Attracted to Vegas<\/h2>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Previously, James mentioned that he would like to play with his son Bronny, a four-star high school recruit eligible for the NBA Draft in 2024. That would likely mean the elder James wouldn\u2019t hang up his high tops until 2025.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Perhaps by the time James does retire, the NBA will finally be ready to expand the league beyond its current 30 teams. Last week, before the start of the NBA Finals, Commissioner Adam Silver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/silver-halts-nba-las-vegas-rumors-in-pre-finals-press-conference\/\">denied speculative reports<\/a> that the league would add teams in Seattle and Vegas after the 2023-24 season.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Las Vegas would make sense for a lot of reasons. One major reason is the more than three-fold growth the city\u2019s metropolitan area has experienced over the past 30-plus years. At nearly 2.3 million people, the Las Vegas metro area is the 29th-largest in the US.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Las Vegas has gone from being a pro sports pariah because of legalized sports betting to a coveted market. The NHL\u2019s Vegas Golden Knights debuted in the 2017-18 season, and the Raiders NFL franchise moved from Oakland two years ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Besides the NBA, there\u2019s been talk of MLS expanding to Sin City and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/oakland-as-reportedly-down-to-pair-of-las-vegas-sites\/\">MLB\u2019s Oakland A\u2019s<\/a> moving there.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"NewNormal\">LeBron Means Business<\/h2>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Besides being one of the greatest NBA players, James has also demonstrated sharp business acumen.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">Earlier this month, <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/chasewithorn\/2022\/06\/02\/lebron-james-is-officially-a-billionaire\/?sh=8e237b5453ea\">Forbes<\/a><\/i> reported that James reached billionaire status \u2013 becoming the first to do so while being an active NBA player. And he didn\u2019t reach a 10-figure net worth through just his playing salary. James has parlayed his career into endorsement deals and lucrative business ventures.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"NewNormal\">James is already an owner of a pro sports franchise.
