But the gaming area will remain open while the hotel is enhanced.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_220809\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-220809\" data-style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-220809\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/silverton-142x80.jpg\" alt=\"Silverton\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" \/><figcaption  id=\"caption-attachment-220809\"class=\"text-description\">The Silverton Casino-Hotel. (Image: YouTube)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The $45 million refurbishment will feature 300 rooms across three Western themes &#8212; the Cowboy Kitsch, Livin\u2019 Lodge, and Rustic Modern collections. Silverton is drawing inspiration from Hotel Drove in the historic stockyards in Fort Worth, Texas. Like the gaming venue, the Texas hotel is owned by Majestic Realty.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"main-blockquote\"><p><strong>Just like Hotel Drover, the Silverton designs include rich details with intentional and eye-catching touchpoints.\u00a0 Since opening, the Drover has been recognized by <em>USA Today,<\/em> <em>Cond\u00e9 Nast<\/em>, <em>Forbes,<\/em> and <em>Travel + Leisure <\/em>for its unique and elegant western glam design, its curated art, crafted fixtures, and custom furnishings,\u201d<\/strong> according to a statement issued by Silverton.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Current amenities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/floyd-mayweather-scores-on-bet-against-former-rival-canelo\/\">at the gaming venue<\/a> include the popular Aquarium Las Vegas, a fitness center, sway pool, and multiple dining options.<\/p>\n<h2>Silverton Reimagined<\/h2>\n<p>Silverton, which opened in 1994, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/boyd-gaming-favored-in-new-loop-capital-coverage\/\">caters to locals<\/a> and cost-conscious out-of-town visitors. The aquarium with the famous mermaid show and the aforementioned pool make the venue one of the more family-friendly off-Strip casino-hotels.<\/p>\n<div class=\"callout\">\n<p>The bulk of online reviews from guests of the venue are favorable. But those that are critical take issue with rooms that supposedly have an old vibe. That could be a sign Silverton\u2019s plan to renovate guestrooms is well-timed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>As CEO Craig Cavileer puts it, it\u2019s \u201can opportunity to creatively reinvent our entire hotel operation in Las Vegas.\u201d He adds management has been in touch with previous guests regarding how to best spruce up the rooms.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo prepare for the extensive renovation, the hotel and adjacent Sway pool deck will be out of service beginning in early August and scheduled to reopen in early 2023,\u201d according to the statement. \u201c The rest of the resort\u00a0 &#8212; including the casino, restaurants, aquarium, Veil Pavilion, Johnny Rockets, Starbucks and Bass Pro Shops &#8212; will remain open during the hotel and pool renovation. \u00a0\u00a0In addition, Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village and The Berkley, Las Vegas &#8212; both located within the Silverton Village district &#8212; will remain open.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Pahrump Plans<\/h2>\n<p>Silverton is also planning to bring its brand to Pahrump, which is located about an hour north of the Las Vegas Strip.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The operator is adding to its portfolio<\/strong> <strong>Silverton Ranch<\/strong> <strong>Casino, anchored by Marriott Springhill Suites<\/strong><strong>.
