(Image: YouTube)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Video of the incident, uploaded to Twitter by @rnbmusictweets, shows a female dancer &#8212; in high-heeled roller skates &#8212; bumping into Usher&#8217;s foot with hers while trying to grab his hand. This causes the dancer to fall on her rear from the impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHigh heel skates are crazy \u2026 you are just asking for trouble in those,\u201d commented Twitter user @DomianoXXX beneath the video.<\/p>\n<p>While down, the dancer watches while Usher wobbles from the impact, then finally trips backward over her outstretched skate, losing his balance and falling to one knee before bouncing back up.<\/p>\n<p>Usher played the faux pas off on stage, hugging the dancer and telling the crowd, \u201cYou can\u2019t get \u2019em all right, y\u2019all.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2><strong>But All Was Apparently Not Forgiven<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>According to hip-hop blogger Sandra Rose, the dancer was greeted by a different Usher off-stage. Quoting unnamed sources, the blogger reported that the perfectionist &#8212; known to rehearse his routines obsessively &#8212; fired the dancer, who was then inconsolable about her dismissal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsher reportedly said his health was more important than her tears,\u201d Rose blogged. \u201cIf he is injured, he can\u2019t work, and if he can\u2019t work, he can\u2019t pay his bills to support his family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rose wrote that the dancer was immediately replaced.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M5kqXijR3bk?start=30\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Lending credence to this report, Usher did say something else to the dancer while they were still on stage: \u201cThat\u2019s a one of one.\u201d Given the circumstances, this can reasonably be inferred to mean that the mistake was one of a grand total of one mistakes he permits performers to make. (The title of his residency, after all, <em>is<\/em> \u201cMy Way.&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>While most Twitter comments beneath shares of the video praised Usher for bouncing back to his feet so smoothly, Twitter user @ErvScottie noticed: \u201cThat\u2019s a one of one\u201d was a threat.\u201d And Twitter user @MoreAndAgain was apparently downright prescient when commenting, presumably in Usher\u2019s voice, \u201cI want her FIRED!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rose\u2019s blog did get one important fact wrong, however. And that does cast some doubt over the rest of her facts.
