(Image: Liberace Foundation)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tivoli served up international recipes from Liberace, an artist on the stove and the piano until it was shuttered by a new owner in 2011, within a year of the museum\u2019s closure and 24 years after the legendary Las Vegas entertainer\u2019s death from AIDS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Liberace Foundation sold the building in 2013, and its hosted a revolving door of poorly funded tenants until closing, with a damaged roof, earlier this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The renowned restaurant\u2019s reanimator is <strong>Sacbe Meling,<\/strong> owner of <strong>Pancho\u2019s Vegan Cantina.<\/strong> According to the Liberace Foundation, Meling \u201ctook a long-term lease on the location and made careful, preservation-minded repairs.\u201d The menu will also be restored, only sans meat.<\/p>\n<h2>Old Homestead Unhoused by New Flay<\/h2>\n<p data-wp-editing=\"1\">The <strong>Old Homestead<\/strong> at <strong>Caesars Palace,<\/strong> which foodies consider one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas, is being replaced by a fifth Strip restaurant from a celebrity chef that will focus on French fries. <strong>Brasserie B by Bobby Flay<\/strong> will open later this year as a French restaurant serving brunch, lunch, and dinner.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_273888\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-273888\" data-style=\"width: 388px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-273888\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/flay-olivia-jane-design-430x287.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"388\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/flay-olivia-jane-design-430x287.jpg 430w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/flay-olivia-jane-design-238x158.jpg 238w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/flay-olivia-jane-design.jpg 468w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 388px) 100vw, 388px\" \/><figcaption  id=\"caption-attachment-273888\"class=\"text-description\">A rendering of Brasserie B by Bobby Flay, a French restaurant opening later this month on the site of the celebrated Old Homestead Steakhouse at Caesars Palace. (Image: Olivia Jane Design)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOne of the things that makes people smile mostly about good brasseries are French fries,\u201d Flay told <em>People<\/em> magazine<em>.<\/em> \u201cWe\u2019re going to have basically an entire section of the kitchen dedicated to making Parisian-style French fries in the classic way because they literally take two days to make from scratch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flay also operates the Italian restaurant <strong>Amalfi,<\/strong> also at Caesars Palace. He opened it in 2021 in the space formerly occupied by his Southwestern restaurant <strong>Mesa Grill,<\/strong> which he closed after 16 years. Flay also operates three <strong>Bobby\u2019s Burgers <\/strong>on the Strip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit;\">The <strong>Old Homestead<\/strong> arrived in Sin City in 2011 from New York City, where it was founded in 1868 and remains the oldest continuously operating steakhouse in the US. It is accepting reservations only until May 29.<\/p>\n<h2>What Will Replace Stripburger &amp; Chicken<\/h2>\n<p><strong>After <\/strong><strong>Stripburger &amp; Chicken<\/strong>\u00a0closed last month, ending its 16-year run of unparalleled Las Vegas Strip people-watching on the first floor of the\u00a0<strong>Fashion Show<\/strong> <strong>Mall,<\/strong> we reported the rumor that it might be replaced by <strong>Emmitt\u2019s,<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/vegas-restaurant-roundup-emmitt-recovers-ball-new-lotus-of-siam-brisson-rocheleau-split\/\">new steakhouse from NFL legend Emmitt Smith.<\/a> Well, the rumor was wrong.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s <strong>Happy Camper Pizza.<\/strong> Hailing from Denver and Chicago, this chain features over a dozen pizzas on its scratch-made dough.
