Buddy Valastro <\/strong>of \u201cCake Boss\u201d is turning his attention to pies — of the tomato and cheese variety. According to What Now Vegas, <\/em>the celebrity chef\u2019s fourth Las Vegas Strip restaurant, Buddy V\u2019s Pizzeria, <\/strong>is set to debut at Caesars Palace<\/strong> at an unspecified future date.<\/p>\n

Valastro has already licensed his name to Carlo\u2019s Bakery<\/strong> and Buddy V\u2019s Ristorante<\/strong> at the Venetian, <\/strong>and The Boss Caf\u00e9 by Buddy Valastro<\/strong> at the Linq<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to paperwork filed with Clark County, his pizzeria will cost an estimated $1.2 million to open.<\/p>\n

Piece Offering<\/h2>\n

The creators of \u201cOne Piece,\u201d a popular Japanese anime\/manga series, have opened a Las Vegas restaurant, One Piece Caf\u00e9, <\/strong>in Chinatown. The cafe is the first One Piece eatery in the US.<\/p>\n

Created by Toei Animation, the animated TV series stars Monkey D. Luffy, the boy captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. Toei partnered with LA restaurateurs Timothy Dang<\/strong> and Jamie Nguyen, <\/strong>who already franchise several 7 Leaves Caf\u00e9<\/strong> locations in town, to summon the concept from storyboard into culinary reality.<\/p>\n

According to an X\/Twitter announcement from @OnePieceAnimeUS, the cafe will serve food \u201cbased off the Straw Hats\u2019 favorite meals & iconic anime moments.\u201d Dishes include beef curry, Japanese fruit sando, and onigiri rice balls.<\/p>\n

One Piece, which replaces the former Fugetsu Steak & Grill<\/strong> at Westind Plaza at 5600 Spring Mountain Road, Ste. A, will throw a grand opening on May 11 at 11 a.m., with giveaways and character appearances by Luffy and Zorro.<\/p>\n

Best of the Brunch<\/h2>\n

Toasted Gastrobrunch<\/strong> not only made, but topped,<\/em> Yelp<\/strong>\u2019s list of Top 100 brunch spots in the US for 2024. Born five years ago in Las Vegas, where it operates two locations in Spring Valley, Toasted now also has three in San Diego. Last year, it ranked No. 22.<\/p>\n

Also making this year\u2019s list were Craft Kitchen<\/strong> in Henderson (No. 26), Seventh & Carson Downtown Kitchen & Bar<\/strong> downtown (No. 34), and Scrambled<\/strong> in Henderson (No. 50).<\/p>\n

Dining Ins & Outs<\/h2>\n

Peyote\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>has closed at\u00a0Fergusons Downtown,\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>the former motel turned trendy shopping center at 1028 E. Fremont St. The Latin-inspired restaurant, opened in 2021 by Corner Bar Management, <\/span><\/strong>is one of the last tenants in the building, which reportedly is being sold by the estate of the late Tony Hsieh.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The restaurant is expected to relocate.<\/p>\n

La Dole Rose<\/span><\/strong> will open June 1 at the<\/strong>\u00a0Grand Canal Shoppes\u00a0<\/strong>at\u00a0the Venetian<\/strong>.\u00a0Introduced by local hospitality company\u00a0Gasparyan Group,\u00a0<\/strong>the caf\u00e9 will emphasize what are described as Instagrammable sandwiches, drinks, and desserts in its three themed rooms, according to What Now Las Vegas.<\/em><\/p>\n

The team behind local favorite 313 BBQ and Wings<\/strong> on Las Vegas\u2019 west side — 313 is the Detroit area code — is grilling up a similar concept for the tourists. Expect Blvd BBQ & Wings<\/strong> to debut at the Strip’s Fashion Show <\/strong>in the coming few weeks.<\/p>\n

Lucino\u2019s <\/strong>at 3421 E. Tropicana Ave., once named among the top 100 pizzerias in the US by Yelp, has temporarily closed due to an electrical fire.<\/p>\n

The<\/strong> Westin Las Vegas\u2019<\/strong> Banquet Dishroom, at 150 E. Flamingo Road, was closed by the Southern Nevada Health District<\/strong> on April 24, receiving six demerits.
