(Image: Live Nation)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Urban was previously a <strong>Caesars Entertainment<\/strong> company man, having headlined a residency at <strong>Planet Hollywood<\/strong> from March through July of 2023, and launched a tour at <strong>Caesars Palace <\/strong>the year before that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeith Urban\u2019s HIGH in Vegas\u201d will consist of 10 shows at the <strong>BleauLive Theater,<\/strong> representing the casino resort\u2019s first proper residency. Until now, it has booked only slices of concert tours.<\/p>\n<p>Urban&#8217;s residency is split into two halves as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>October 2024: 4, 5, 9, 11, 12<\/li>\n<li>February 2025: 14, 15, 19, 21, 22<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. via <strong><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ticketmaster.com\/KeithUrbanVegas\">Ticketmaster.com\/KeithUrbanVegas<\/a>.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A presale for Urban\u2019s fan club, Ville, begins Tuesday, May 7 at 10 a.m. Citi card members will have access starting Tuesday, May 7 at noon, and Live Nation, Ticketmaster, Vibee, and SiriusXM customers will have access to a presale on Wednesday, May 8 at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_319188\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-319188\" data-style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-319188\" src=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/usher-getty-858x795.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/usher-getty-858x795.jpg 858w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/usher-getty-430x399.jpg 430w, https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/usher-getty.jpg 1111w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><figcaption  id=\"caption-attachment-319188\"class=\"text-description\">Usher performs at Aria this weekend. (Image: Getty)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>Fair-Weather &#8216;Friends&#8217;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Some artists scheduled to headline the <strong>Lovers &amp; Friends<\/strong> festival on Saturday did their best to soothe fan disappointment and anger over its last-minute cancellation. Organizers scotched the sold-out concert <a href=\"https:\/\/www.casino.org\/news\/las-vegas-lovers-friends-concert-canceled-due-to-predicted-strong-winds-dust\/\">due to predicted high winds<\/a> less than a day before it was scheduled to start.<\/p>\n<p>More than 65K fans who paid up to $700 per person to attend were devastated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snoop Dogg<\/strong> and <strong>T-Pain <\/strong>played an impromptu free set at the <strong>Ayu Dayclub<\/strong> at <strong>Resorts World<\/strong> on Saturday afternoon. And though <strong>Usher,<\/strong> the show\u2019s co-founder and biggest star, is being credited with performing a consolation show at the <strong>Jewel Nightclub <\/strong>at<strong> Aria <\/strong>only three hours after the festival\u2019s cancelation, that show was already preplanned.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the canceled festival\u2019s major headliners, including <strong>Alicia Keys<\/strong> and <strong>Janet Jackson,<\/strong> made no attempts to ease their fans\u2019 crushing disappointment larger than empathetic social media statements. (Jackson posted on Instagram that she was \u201cheartbroken we won\u2019t be able to see you tonight.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>Fans who purchased tickets directly through Front Gate Tickets were told they would receive refunds within 30 days. Those who purchased tickets elsewhere may be SOL.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More Musical Disappointment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Nasty weather wasn\u2019t even the only SNAFU disappointing heavily invested Las Vegas concertgoers this weekend. According to <em>Vegas 411<\/em> reporter Sam Novak, approximately 35 people, who paid in the neighborhood of $1,000 per seat to see <strong>Kylie Minogue<\/strong>\u2019s residency at the <strong>Voltaire<\/strong> at <strong>the Venetian <\/strong>on Friday night, its second to last, \u201carrived to discover their seats had been canceled due to a glitch\u201d that resulted in an \u201cugly situation\u201d at the box office.<\/p>\n<p>However you spin it, Las Vegas is the worst possible place for an event to be canceled at the last minute. That&#8217;s because most fans have already spent thousands of nonrefundable dollars on flights and hotels, and rearranged their schedules, just to attend.
