Superstar metallurgists Metallica<\/strong> will headline next year\u2019s Sick New World<\/strong> festival on April 12, 2025, at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. <\/strong>The festival will serve as the kickoff for a new leg of Metallica\u2019s M72 World Tour, which it launched in 2023.<\/p>\n

The last time Metallica performed in town, in February 2022, it headlined what became the largest metal concert in Las Vegas history when it sold out Allegiant Stadium <\/strong><\/p>\n

The other acts on the lineup won\u2019t be announced for a few more weeks, along with ticket info.<\/p>\n

Not-So-New Kids<\/strong><\/h2>\n

New Kids on the Block<\/strong>\u00a0will perform their first Las Vegas residency at Park MGM<\/strong>\u2019s Dolby Live <\/strong>over 16 dates next year. Dubbed \u201cThe Right Stuff,\u201d it will feature the entire original lineup: Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, <\/strong>and Danny Wood.
\n<\/strong>
\nThe last time NKOTB played in Las Vegas was July 10-13, 2014, in Planet Hollywood<\/strong> on their \u201cBlock After Dark\u201d tour.

\n<\/strong>This time, the dates will be June 20, 21, 25, 27, and 28; July 2, 3, and 5; and November 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on sale to the general public here<\/a> at 10 a.m. PT Friday.<\/p>\n

Anti-F1 Festival Sets Headliners<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s be honest. The Neon City Festival<\/strong> taking place November 22-24, is downtown Las Vegas\u2019s eff-you to F1.<\/p>\n

It was conceived of by Derek Stevens<\/strong> — co-owner of Circa, the Golden Gate, <\/strong>and the D<\/strong> \u2013 only because last year\u2019s inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix not only ignored downtown, but cut it — and its usual gaming and entertainment revenue — off entirely off from the rest of Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

So if the headliners the festival announced on Thursday night don\u2019t impress you because they\u2019re not household names, just realize that this festival — presented in partnership with all of the downtown casinos — embodies the rebel, underdog spirit of rock n\u2019 roll probably better than any concert staged in Las Vegas since the \u201860s.<\/p>\n

OK, time to be unimpressed by the lineup. Its biggest names are Utah pop-rockers Neon\u00a0Trees<\/strong>, Seattle rapper\u00a0Macklemore<\/strong>, Australian DJ Alison\u00a0Wonderland<\/strong>, country-pop crooner Russell Dickerson,<\/strong> and adventurous DJ\/producer\u00a0Seven Lions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These and dozens of other acts will perform on four stages — three on the Fremont Street Experience and one at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.<\/p>\n

Pitbull, Fogerty Return<\/h2>\n

Pitbull<\/strong> is staging \u201cVegas After Dark The Residency\u201d at BleauLive Theater<\/strong> at Fontaineblea<\/strong>u for eight nights: Nov. 8-9, Jan. 24-25, March 7-8 and March 14-15. Pitbull’s last Las Vegas residency ran from 2015-19 at Planet Hollywood.<\/p>\n

John Fogerty<\/strong>, ex of Creedence Clearwater Revival, <\/strong>returns to the Encore Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0Jan. 22 and 24-5. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster. <\/p>\n
