Foodie tours have been quite popular in Las Vegas for some time now. Now, there’s one devoted to doughnuts, or as the kids call them, “donuts.”

The Underground Donut Tour is now taking guests to what’s described as “four of the most interesting doughnut, churro and beignet shops in downtown Las Vegas.”

Mostly, though, it’s about the doughnuts.

Fun fact: Elvis Presley’s favorite doughnut was whatever doughnut was nearby.

The doughnuts are really just an excuse to stroll around and learn about Las Vegas.

According to the company, “The tour primarily takes place in the arts district of downtown Las Vegas near the Fremont Street Experience including the Ferguson Motel, the Downtown Container Park, Fremont Street, DT Alley and numerous murals and artwork as part of the Las Vegas Arts District.”

Yeah, so, they don’t have the geography figured out entirely (the Arts District is nowhere near Fremont Street Experience or Downtown Container Park), but solid attempt and they didn’t spell it “Freemont Street,” so brownie points for that.

The tour starts at Mothership Coffee at Ferguson Motel, on Fremont East, home of Big Rig Jig.

Then guests walk to Donut Bar, which is quite a stroll from Ferguson Motel (just under a half mile), and we trust the tour guide will be armed.

Ha, ha, we kid, but seriously, just be aware of your surroundings at all time.

Underground Donut Tour is correct that Donut Bar is one of the “absolute best donut shops in Vegas.” Some of the doughnuts are the size of Big Rig Jig tires.
